I’ve been on tirzepatide for 3 weeks now. The first couple of days were a bit rough constipation hit almost immediately.
I increased my fiber intake, stayed on top of hydration, and that made a noticeable difference.
Next week I’m moving up from 2.5 mg to 5 mg, so I’m curious to see how the next phase goes. Wish me luck! π€π€π€
3 Weeks on Tirzepatide & So Far So Good Anyone else experience similar side effects when starting or increasing the dose?
-
I was honestly expecting way worse. Week 3 has mostly been mild nausea the day after my shot, then I’m good for the rest of the week.
-
My first jump in dose hit me harder than the starting dose did. Felt kinda tired for two days but it settled down.
-
I noticed I fill up ridiculously fast now. Had to remind myself to actually eat enough protein.
-
Three weeks is usually when people start figuring out what foods they tolerate better. Greasy meals wrecked me early on.
-
My doctor warned me not to judge it by the first month because side effects can change with each dose increase.
-
I had sulfur burps for about a week and thought something was seriously wrong. Switched to smaller meals and stopped eating late at night. Huge difference after that.
-
Not gonna lie, the reduced food noise has been the biggest benefit for me.
-
I coach a few clients using GLP-1 meds. Biggest mistake I see is people undereating protein and stopping resistance training because they’re tired.
-
Mine was mostly fatigue. No stomach problems. Energy came back around week four.
-
Weirdly enough, coffee started upsetting my stomach after I began taking it.
-
My bloodwork actually improved after dropping body fat. Triglycerides came down quite a bit.
-
Fair point, but remember everyone responds differently. My wife had almost no side effects while I dealt with nausea every dose increase.
-
Same experience here, man. Slow, steady progress with manageable side effects has been way better than trying to rush the dose.
