My hematocrit climbed on TRT but all my clotting labs were normal. That’s what finally made me understand the difference
Not automatically that’s why doctors look at the whole picture instead of one lab value
I remember freaking out after reading a forum saying thick blood = blood clots my endocrinologist explained it way better than Reddit ever did
I donate blood when my physician recommends it but I don’t assume it fixes every cardiovascular issue.

If viscosity goes up doesn’t clotting always increase too?
Not necessarily man. Clotting depends on platelets and clotting factors too not just how viscous the blood is.
