I lost over 90 pounds. Hair definitely thinned but eventually came back. Skin looked weird too while my body adjusted.
People blame TRT for everything when sometimes it’s just crash dieting.
Mine got noticeably better after I stopped trying to live on 1,400 calories.
Old school advice… don’t rush fat loss. Slow and steady usually treats your body a whole lot better.
I coach a few competitors and aggressive prep phases almost always increase shedding in some athletes. Doesn’t mean they’re going bald.
Biotin only helped me because I was actually deficient. Otherwise don’t expect miracles.
Hair is basically the first thing your body stops caring about when calories stay too low.
I was convinced creatine caused mine. Turned out I had lost 60 pounds in under six months. Timing lined up way better with the weight loss.
Eat enough fat too. People slash dietary fat and wonder why everything feels off.
Around 2 lbs a week wasn’t an issue for me. Once I pushed beyond that, shedding picked up.
Respectfully, I’d look at stress before buying every hair supplement on the market.
Recovery matters more than people think. Poor sleep, hard training, low calories… that’s a rough combo.
