Serious question.
Men today have:
→ unlimited food
→ unlimited entertainment
→ constant dopamine
→ less movement
→ less sunlight
→ less physical struggle
At the same time:
low energy, low motivation, low testosterone, anxiety, and depression seem more common than ever.
Do you think modern comfort and overstimulation are actually hurting male hormones and mental drive?
Or is that exaggerated bro-science?
Do You Think Modern Comfort Is Destroying Testosterone Levels?
-
Hormones matter but lifestyle fixes should come before chasing compounds
-
For me its
Free weights → elbow/shoulder discomfort
Cables → smooth, pain-free, better contraction
I get that skull crushers are a “classic,” but if an exercise consistently causes joint stress, is it really worth forcing?
Cables seem to:
Allow natural elbow positioning
Reduce strain in the stretched position
Keep constant tension
Curious where people stand on this.
Do you:
A) Keep skull crushers no matter what
B) Modify them
C) Replace them with cables/machines -

Not overrated just misused. Most people butcher the form and blame the exercise.
-
They’re great for long head stretch but brutal on elbows if you’re not careful
-
Overrated for hypertrophy Maybe Overrated for joint stress Definitely not
-
I switched to cable overhead extensions same stretch way smoother tension
-
I think they’re only overrated because beginners jump into heavy weight too soon
